Paremata's House of Beauty Day Spa outclassed 150 salons throughout New Zealand to win the prestigious title of Salon of the Year 2008 at the recent conference held at Millbrook in Queenstown.

In fact, this is the third time the Day Spa has won the Joyce Blok competition in the last six years based on excellence in leadership, quality of premises, staff and customer service.  "It feels fantastic, you never know you are going to win until you attend the awards dinner," owner Raewyn says.  "To receive the award feels uplifting and motivating and my staff are excited they are part of a winning salon, " she says.

Raewyn tributes the award to her four highly trained and professional staff members.  Since purchasing the business in 1996, the day spa has expanded three time int he Mana Esplanade area.  The decision to move premises was to improve and expand services for clients - some travelling from as far as Te Horo and Khandallah.
